Meet the Team

Dr. Urback is from the local area. He graduated from Sumner High School, after which he attended the University of Washington. He then attended the University of Washington School of Dentistry, receiving his dental degree in 1980. He spent a year at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, doing a general practice residency, before establishing his family dental practice in Puyallup in December of 1981. Dr. Urback supports organized dentistry and the way organizations promote the health of our citizens. He is a member of the Pierce County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry.
Continuing education is important in Dr. Urback’s office. With constant improvements in equipment, materials, and techniques, it is vitally important to commit time to keep learning. As a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, Dr. Urback shows his belief in continuing education. His receipt of the Fellowship Award in 1987 and the Mastership Award in 1996 are further evidence of this commitment. Dr. Urback and his staff attend many hours of courses every year, far beyond the necessary amount required to maintain licensure. They include lectures, hands-on courses, and practice management programs. Staff members also learn from each other and from their patients on a daily basis. |
Dr. Hall was raised in Sumner where she graduated from Sumner High School in 1998. After deciding at a very young age she would like to become a dentist, she was fortunate enough to be accepted into a unique program at the University of Missouri, Kansas City where she could complete her Bachelor’s degree in two years and immediately begin dental school. After six years in Kansas City, she received a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from UMKC in May of 2004. After graduation she returned to the Pacific Northwest and worked in public heath for a year and a half. She is now happy to be a member of the team at Puyallup Valley Dental Care.
Organized dentistry and continuing education are both very important to Dr. Hall. She is a member of the Pierce County Dental Society, Washington State Dental Association, American Dental Association, and Academy of General Dentistry. She is proud to be a member of such organizations because they put so much emphasis on the prevention of dental disease. Dr. Hall believes in being a lifelong learner. She is often attending continuing education courses in order to learn many new techniques and technologies occurring in dentistry today.
Dr. Hall has a special interest in pediatric dentistry. Besides providing excellent dental care, her goal is to make “going to the dentist” a positive experience for children. She finds it extremely gratifying to play such a major role in developing young children’s lifelong views of going to the dentist. |
