Peter M. Elton DMD
“I find great satisfaction in providing state-of-the-art dental care while calming the apprehensive patient, both young and old. Making meaningful and enduring connections with people is the highlight of my experience in dentistry. I look forward to building those relationships in my hometown, working with the exceptional team at Puyallup Valley Dental Care.”
Dr. Elton spent his childhood traveling to various parts of the world with his military family. Settling in Puyallup, he attended Rogers High School, graduating in 1997. He enjoyed soccer, springboard diving and orchestra, playing the upright bass.
He attended Brigham Young University where he received a Bachelor of Science in Zoology. As president of the BYU Pre-Dental Society, he pioneered an international dental humanitarian project and organized two expeditions to the Galapagos Islands of Ecuador. The group of 120 volunteers provided dental and medical care to over 3000 patients.
While attending Brigham Young University, Dr. Elton worked as a research assistant for Clinical Research Associates, one of the world’s premier dental research facilities under the direction of Dr. Gordon Christensen.
Dr. Elton received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine Cum Laude from Boston University’s Goldman School of Dental Medicine. At graduation, he was recognized by the faculty and awarded for his clinical abilities in prosthetic dentistry.
He was commissioned as a Captain in the US Army Dental Corps and served our country for four years, at clinics in Landstuhl, Germany as well as at Joint Base Lewis-McChord, Washington. While in Landstuhl, he provided treatment in a hospital setting for soldiers who were evacuated from Iraq and Afghanistan with medical and dental combat injuries.
